Hi Angela!

I am a micronutritionist in Holland and I take chiaseeds myself and so does my husband. Chia is the greatest source of omega3 acids! But.. as said: no EPA and DHA. The only vegetarian source of EPA and DHA is chlorella.. I buy my chlorella in powder.

But vitamines B3 and B6 converse the ALA into EPA and DHA.

So... give your children B3 and B6 and continue with chia.!! Then they won't be deficient in EPA and DHA.

If you need more advice you can contact me in the Netherlands, email: food4you@casema.nl. My website is www.cockyvanhesteren.nl in dutch only... :-(
I am a coach and therapist on Genotype and Bloodtype principles.
If you go to www.dadamo.com you will find loads of info and I have a column there named Cocky A+
Take care and stay healthy!

I first purchased Chia Seeds for my children as they are intolerant to all fish oil supplements on the market that I have tried. They are coeliacs and intolerant to salycilates also. My children do not react to the chia seeds at all. They have benefited them greatly. Their hair is shiny and they have more energy.
My question is: Do the chia seeds have DHA in them? I recommended them to a friend and her natropath told her that they did not contain DHA and EPA so it was not good to her.
I think the product is great, I have seen the benefits and I take it myself.
